Frequently Asked Questions
How does the peptide calculator work?
You enter the vial size (mg), bacteriostatic water volume (ml), and your desired research dose. The calculator derives the final concentration (mg/ml and mcg/unit), converts it to insulin-syringe units (U-100, U-50 or U-40), and shows exactly where to draw on the barrel. It also computes doses per vial, vials per cycle, total injections and a day-by-day schedule.
Why insulin-syringe units instead of ml?
Peptide doses are typically measured in micrograms (mcg), and insulin syringes offer the finest graduations available for sub-milliliter volumes. A U-100 syringe means 1 ml = 100 units, so each unit = 0.01 ml — precision essential for small peptide doses.
What is bacteriostatic water?
Sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, which prevents bacterial growth in multi-dose vials. It is the standard diluent for lyophilized peptide research. Pepitiva sells USP-grade 30 ml bacteriostatic water vials.
How much BAC water should I add?
There is no single correct answer — it depends on the math you want. More water = larger volume per dose (easier to measure precisely, but more syringe draws from the vial). Less water = smaller volume (harder to measure tiny doses). Typical research reconstitutions use 1–3 ml per 5 mg vial. The calculator lets you test any combination instantly.
How long is peptide stable once reconstituted?
Most research peptides are stable for 14–30 days refrigerated at 2–8 °C, though some (Semaglutide, Tirzepatide) remain stable longer. The calculator shows the specific window for each preset. Always store reconstituted vials away from light and never freeze.
Are the preloaded dose ranges safe?
The ranges come from published research literature and are for research use only. They are not medical recommendations. The calculator will flag when your input falls outside the typical research window, but the ultimate decision always rests with the researcher and — for any human application — a qualified physician.
